The MDGs reflect the development aspirations of the world as a whole. They are not only development objectives, but they reflect universally accepted human values and rights. Important progress towards this obligation has been made, but we are not on track to fulfill our commitment to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger by the year 2015, only 6 years from now. But are we measuring the progress of MDG 1c (halving hunger) in the right way?
The aim of the seminar is rethinking the commonly set ways of measuring progress towards MDG1c and applying new insights in a specific country setting with representatives from these countries.
