Application procedures


With Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) funding

Fellowships are available from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) for nationals of a limited number of countries. Candidates who wish to apply for such a fellowship should begin the application procedure as soon as possible. Candidates who wish to apply for a NFP fellowship should: 

  1. First apply to Wageningen International for admission to the course as soon as possible.
  2. Acceptable candidates will receive a PROVISONAL LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE from Wageningen International. 
  3. Candidates then apply for a NFP fellowship through the Netherlands Embassy or Consulate in their own country. 
  4. Wageningen International NFP application deadlines are listed per course in the overview of the annual training programme.
Please note that in most countries the Royal Netherlands Embassy maintain a NFP Embassy application deadline of at least a month later than the Wageningen International NFP deadline. We recommend you contact the Royal Netherlands Embassy in your country to check the exact NFP Embassy  application deadline.

With funding other than NFP

  1. Submit your application to Wageningen International for admission with confirmation of sponsoring.
  2. After verification of the sponsor statement, suitable candidates will recieve a letter of acceptance.
  3. After receipt of payment, Wageningen International will send a fax to the Royal Netherlands Embassy supporting application of visa.
